Value Design Education Pledge is a set of working principles that serve as a foundation for enacting long-term changes: namely, a commitment to demonstrate accountability to society, graphic designers, design educators, audiences, class groups, and individual students. The initiative was initiated and carried out with 100 design educators (representing US institutions and those in Spain, Persia, Canada, and India) in the Fall of 2020 through the AIGA Design Educator’s Community.
